Default purpose
The recording exists for private pedagogical review by the student and teacher. Delivery may use self-hosted infrastructure and an unlisted provider video, but that does not make the content public.

Audio, video and public use
Private-recording consent does not authorize social media, marketing, advertising, portfolio use or external AI model training. Any public use of image, voice or performance requires a separate, specific and revocable authorization.

Access
Recordings are displayed inside authenticated Student Access. A direct provider link is not the product and should not be distributed. Downloads are off by default.

Retention
Standard pedagogical-recording retention is 12 months from the lesson date. Temporary local files are removed after verified processing and linkage. Earlier deletion may be requested, subject to lawful retention duties or legal hold. Any extension beyond 12 months requires a documented purpose and review.

Withdrawal
Consent can be withdrawn for future processing. If it is withdrawn while recording is active, the recording lifecycle must stop and fail closed. Withdrawal does not retroactively invalidate prior processing that was lawful when performed.

Translation is separate
Recording consent does not authorize real-time translation, and translation consent does not authorize recording. Either feature can be refused without cancelling the lesson.

Minors
For an international minor, the responsible-adult flow must already be valid. The guardian chooses recording and translation separately, and public use of image or voice remains off until specific authorization.
